Underrated fragility of human body?!
by Barbora Misakova
I always considered health to be the most important thing from all. When some serious illness hit our body then we realize importance of being fit and healthy. But life in capitalistic society is based on different rules. If I had a history of heart problems and underwent bypass I would be much more careful. I know for sure I would try to limit my work and I would invest all my time and precious energy into something really meaningful. Sure, if you are known politician everything seems meaningful, but is it? Latest news informed us that Bill Clinton had chest pains and had to undergo another heart surgery. The procedure which should open blocked arteries was served at a New! York Presbyterian Hospital on Thursday. As Clinton’s spokesman said, former U.S. President had experienced chest discomfort and his doctors decided to check it up. One bypass graft from operation he underwent five years ago became obstructed and so doctors inserted two stents into his native coronary. The latest incident comes after Clinton, 63, traveled back and forth to Haiti to support the country devastated by earthquake month ago. As Douglas Band, counselor to Clinton said in a statement: “President Clinton is in good spirits, and will continue to focus on the work of his Foundation and Haiti’s relief and long-term recovery efforts.” Is it a good idea? I don’t think so. A man, whose heart refused to obey just even once, should be conscious of how fragile he is.
