Former First daughter announces engagement by Zuzana Zelenakova

Daughter of famous parents Bill and Hillary Clinton, Chelsea, 29, has just announced her engagement to childhood friend Marc Mezvinsky to friends and family via e-mail. Reportedly the e-mail reads: "We're sorry for the mass email but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged. We didn't get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc." Marc Mezvinsky, 31, an investment banker, is a son of a former Pennsylvania representative Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky and a former Iowa represe! ntative Ed Mezvinsky, who was released from federal prison last summer after serving five year jail sentence for bank fraud. The two families have known each other for a long time and Chelsea and Marc are childhood friends. Also, they both attended Stanford University. Currently they are residing in New York, where he works for a Manhattan hedge fund, G3 Capital. Meanwhile, Chelsea, who stepped into the spotlight only recently when she was helping her mother in last year presidential election campaign, continues her studies at Columbia University´s School of Public Health. Secretary of State has not commented on the issue during her latest encounter with the press. However, her spokesman Ian Kelly was asked about it and reacted like this: "I have a daughter who's around, she's 22 years old. And the last thing I would want would be for the State Department spokesman to talk about the personal plans of my daughter, so I am going to decline any comment on that." Spokesman! for former president Bill Clinton confirmed the news to be tr! ue on Mo nday. Happy couple suggested that possible date for the wedding could be sometime next summer.
