Will USA be part of a deal?
by kristina leskova
Do you think sometimes about climate changes? Some people think that it is not important. But we have too many companies that damage the environment. We speak about air, water or soil pollution. And it is important that companies which pollute the environment should make some steps for better environment. The impacts of pollution are climate changes that can be seen everywhere. For example the weather has changes a lot. It is often very hot during summer and the soil is very dry, and these are ideal condition for starting a fire. And I think that you read enough about fire damages. Another weather changes are connected with more storms, hurricanes or even tsunami. Yes, we d! o not care about the environment and this is the result. Now United States are under pressure because they should come with a plan how to fight against climate changes. The most important call is that poor countries are the most damaged and so the industrial countries should come with some plan. Next month there will be a conference in Danish capital Copenhagen. The deal should replace the Kyoto protocol that was admitted in 1997. But the USA did not sign this protocol. Jonathan Pershing from USA said that they definitely would like to be the part of deal but they also want that Congress would agree with this deal. The head of UN climate secretariat Yvo de Boer said that china is probably the world leader in limiting greenhouse gas emissions. The deal must have legal force because the poor country will not trust the promises of industrialized countries. Countries should register the actions which would lower the carbon emissions.
