by Milota Sidorova
Living in Florida is from one point of view pretty annoying mix of stress, hurricanes, renovations and bureaucracy paper work with insurance companies.
From early May till late autumn, people do fear for their lives, estates and harvest easily to be destroyed by series of continuously tropical storms and hurricanes. Moreover when fertile fields produce considerable American amount of cotton, peanuts and reed.
So it is this time again. Born during last weekend over the waters of Atlantic ocean, tropical storm Fay has reached Florida peninsula this morning. Fay, responsible for approximately 20 deaths in Caribbean sea and 93,000 cut of energies, stroke at 2 a.m. Florida's east coast, just fifteen miles south-southeast of Melbourne. However this time, winds of 50 mph and the storm promising over 15 inches of rain were more than praised.
Strangely enough, but true. After weeks of lingering drought, farmers have reported possible one third loss of this year's crop. Hearty rain could boost up burning fields, save what can be saved.
Nevertheless, praising the storm can be more than just a rain. According National Weather Service Fay is easily to change into hurricane size one in few hours. Fay has crossed Florida near to Georgia's borders and veered over the open sea. Logically, while decaying, while passing over the mainland, the storm can magnify several times absorbing moisture of miles and miles of vaporing water level.
And Fay is expected to return again.
As obviously, local officials have called on red light alert. One of the smallest cities, Jacksonville has already sent its troops to repair draining anti storm systems, while prepared shelters and emptied endangered areas. Emergency teams are now 24 hours on-duty.
So, this time, on the contrary Florida is waiting for tropical storm. Although its water can be as gentle and nourishing as catastrophic as well. On most of the areas, schools have canceled Wednesday's and Thursday's classes. People are preparing. Big Water is about to come.
Forecasts predict Fay was about to hit Alabama during the weekend.
