It seems like someone has just cursed the Gulf of Mexico. While the biggest oil spill catastrophe happened there few months ago and still the consequences aren’t solved, now tropical storm named Bonnie threatens the citizens of the place. They are really not lucky this year. British Petroleum efforts to clean up the mess after the oil spill, now has to fight with the storm to save the vessels and rigs that were used in the system. The biggest landfall happens near Biscayne Bay in South Florida. The citizens of the most endangered places have been informed and had some directions what to do. According to the National Hurricane Center, if it continues on its projected ! path, it is expected to make landfall early Sunday along the Louisiana coast with winds at about 50 mph. The clean-up operations in the Gulf are going to be paused in the next 48 hours, they shell wait for the storm to pass, and then will go on with the project for saving the Gulf of Mexico, said Commander Thad Allen. In fact, no one can predict the real aftermath of the storm Bonnie. s "While these actions might delay the effort to kill the well for several days, the safety of the individuals at the well site is our highest concern" – Allen said. “How long will it take?” many Americans must ask. People living in oil affected area near Gulf of Mexico must be not only tired but also beside oneself with anger. Few days ago British Petroleum came with an idea how the leaking oil could be stopped and the new light of hope appeared. But as BP’s officials informed, it was not a reason for celebration as 48-hour test was needed. Now, as it seems, the test went wrong: a new protective cap installed last week on the broken oil well is leaking. In spite of that the federal government allowed British Petroleum to keep the cap shut tight on its damaged Gulf of Mexico oil well for another day, what had to cause ! another wave of disappointment. As Thad Allen, the Obama administration’s point man for the spill, said government scientists had gotten answers they wanted about how British Petroleum is monitoring the seabed around mile-deep well, but when on late Sunday a seep was detected near the ruptured oil well a sharply worded letter was sent to British Petroleum to step up monitoring the ocean floor. British Petroleum’s spokesman Mark Salt only said: “we continue to work very closely with all government scientists on this.” But is that enough? Hardly is. But according to White House adviser, Carol Browner, there is nothing else they could do now. As he said: “Clearly we want this to end. But we do not want to enter into a situation where we have uncontrolled leaks all over the Gulf floor.” So there is nothing what Americans can do, only wait and hope, the situation will be better soon!

The oil in the Mexican Gulf hasn´t stopped even after another try out. The cap should served as a temporary fix for the final steps would be taken. The research should be also the baseline to further measurements to control the activity and see the potential impacts of any technical improvement. Experts were afraid that rising pressure could break the floor elsewhere, if they succeed. According Don Van Nieuwenguise, director of Professional Geoscience Programs at the University of Huouston the company needed to scan the ground if they wanted to do pressure test! ing. Although the test was expected for longer period, the company didn´t provide any reson to delay the tests, but the work would continue until Wednesday and would take from six up to 48 hours. If the test proves the cap can be done, the extracted oil will be collected inside the well machinery. If the pressure will be bigger than expected, the oil will be distributed via four pipes into the collecting ships But every minute, BP delays their efforts, the damage in the country is increasing. The leak has already reached the shores of four American states and the worst projection for BP was to stop the spill on August. But this time, it may be also endangered.

Toto tvrdenie platí dvojnásobne v prípade reality politickej.Narážam na nedávny prípad amerického generála Stanleyho McChrystala, ktorý posledné roky riadil americké a spojenecké jednotky v Afghanistane. McChrystal bol všeobecne opisovaný ako muž so znalosťou domácich pomerov a veľkými skúsenosťami s partizánskej vojnou. Tieto prívlastky sa však tiež stali akousi mediálnou realitou, potom čo ! 9;asopis Rollingstone zverejnil obsiahle interview práve s McChrystalom. Ten si tentokrát dovolil adresovať kritické výroky priamo k svojim nadriadeným – do Bieleho domu a samotnému prezidentovi. Sloboda slova sa však ukázala fatálnou. McChrystal bol okamžite odvolaný zo služby, v priebehu pár hodín priletel k prezidentovi, musel sa ospravedlniť za svoje “názory” a dovtedy “nenahraditeľný” vojnový veterán mohol už len z diaľky pozorovať svojho nového nástupcu. Tým sa stal generál David Petraeus, ktorý sa po prvý krát verejne predstavil minulú sobotu. Zaujal najvyššiu pozíciu veliteľa nad jednotkami, čítajúcimi 140,000 amerických a spojeneckých vojakov. Mediálna realita Petraeusa je zatiaľ priaznivá, podľa všetkého! je vítanou zmenou, dokonca aj podľa afghánskeh! o prezid enta Hamida Karzaia. Práve ten pred časom varoval, že McChrystalová rezignácia posilní odpor Talibanu v krajine. Zdá sa, že naozaj boli posilou, pretože v čase pichody nového veliteľa sa talibancom úspešne podarilo napadnúť americké a spojenecké jednotky. Petraeus by mal podľa niektorých analytikov zmeniť stratégiu boja v krajine. A hoci prezident Obama, tak Petraeus tvrdia, že výmena veliteľa nutne neznamená zmenu stratégie, samotný generál už avizuje niekoľko zmien. Zatiaľ však zmeny bližšie nešpecifikoval.

Strange is the media reality. One could say – more than versatile. That rules twice as more in the case of political reality. I adress this comment to the case of the. U.S. General Stanley McChrystal who spent his last years ruling American and NATO troops in Afghanistan. He was described as the most important, irreplaceable man of knowledge and war experiences. This turned out to be both media and political reality. Rollingstone magazine tuned out to be the last stop on McChrystal career. General openly blamed U.S. government and President for the war and war waste that have become the constant in Afghanistan. Although Rollingstone doesn't usually make political inte! rviews, this seemed to be fatal. Huile frappant le littoral - gens souffrant de l’attaque mental by Milota Sidorova

Récemment, tout en regardant la publicité de BP je me suis rendu compte comment sa déclaration était terriblement vraie. Le titre sur la couverture indiquait : « Nous apportons de l'huile aux rivages américains ». Si c'était le plus mauvais copyright que j'ai jamais vu, je n'étais pas sûr, mais les flashbacks des rapports de médias ont réapparus dans mon esprit. Nous avons entendu que la compagnie n'a pas réussi et n'a pas pu arrêter l'écoulement d'huile qui continue de polluer des centaines sinon de milliers de kilomètres de la mer et du littoral. Cela signifie la mort progressive pour des ani! maux et des plants même pour l'eau dans cette région. La grande catastrophe dont personne ne peut imaginer les conséquences, ni même celle de la Maison Blanche ni d'ailleurs. J'ai pensé aux habitants vivant dans ce secteur, quelque part j'ai tombé sur un article indiquant que la santé mentale des résidants étais en déclin. Les gens ont souffert de la nervosité, de l'inquiétude, des dépressions, de l'alcoolisme et de l'agressivité. Les raisons étaient évidentes. Je dirais, imaginez que tout ce que vous aviez vu jour par jour, an par an, tout ce qui vous avait entouré, s'est fané et est mort. Imaginez que vous voyez des milliers de poissons lévigés sur la plage, des oiseaux couverts par une couche lourde d'huile attendant leurs derniers souffles, pensez à vos emplois précédents, pensez à des pêcheurs qui bougeaient l'économie de la région. Tou! t ceci s'était fané et aucun argent ne peut le r! 3;tablir dans l'état qu'il possédait. C'est la situation actuelle de million de personnes vivant là-bas. Certains comparent cette catastrophe à l'ouragan Katrina, la collision de temps probablement la plus mortelle dans l'histoire des États-Unis. Mais il semble que l'histoire devrait être récrite - Katrina a frappé dans un période relativement courte et a disparu, mais l'huile fuit constamment et il n'y a aucun espoir que cela s'accomplisse vers le mois suivant. Jusqu'maintenant, tout ceci avait duré plus de 60 jours. Ce n'est cependant qu'un petit aperçu des choses auxquelles les habitants de la terre dévastée doivent faire face. Bien qu'il y ait eu qu'un petit nombre de victimes, leurs maisons et espoirs leur ont été pris et la réalité donne un coup dur. Mais qui doit-on blâmer ? Qui est conforme à la réparation, le renouvellement, le rétablissement ? Les projections sont noire! s.

Seulement peu de jours après que Barrack Obama et Dmitry Medvedev se sont réunis sur le sol américain lors des réunions non-formelles et ont discuté qu'il serait meilleur s'ils commençaient à se rencontrer et coopérer davantage dans le domaine politique, économique, logistique, 11 espions russes ont été arrêtés par le FBI de US, démontrant que tout cela n'était qu'un camouflage ! Ils ont agît sans que l'! autre s'en aperçoit. Les fonctionnaires de la Russie sont fâchés contre les arrestations, mais ils ne pensent pas encore que cela devrait mal influencer les relations entre ces deux pays. Après le retour, le Président russe Vladimir Putin, qui est un ancien agent du KGB, a annoncé que ses gens sont en train de lancer une opération prétendue limiter les dégâts. Et néanmoins, Obama était bien informé au sujet de toute l'action d'espionnage qui s'est produite dans quatre pays différents, et qui ne s'est pas déroulé bien sûr comme il a mentionné lorsqu'ils bouffaient des hamburgers ensemble.
