Chris Cantell Discusses US News: Red Hot Flea Left Homeless
by Barbora Kasparova
As the destructive fire hits Malibu during the weekend leaving almost 50 houses destroyed, many celebrities are forced to leave their residences. The statistics only report material damage; no one was seriously injured or killed thanks to the mass evacuation of more than 10 000 people, among whose many were Hollywood celebrities. According to the early investigators' statements, the fired was originated by people. The bass guitarist from the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers Michael Balzary, or Flea, was among the unlucky ones. His house was Hot indeed; it was among the 49 that were burned down to ashes, or in his own wording according to the report by Los Angeles Times, "burned to a crisp", as his text message reveals. (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-flea8,1,3949239.story?ctrack=2&cset=true). It was the same house he bought last year for more than $ 10 million. Ouch! He was not reachable after the report appeared in the news. His fans are left to hope, he was wise enough to have his property insured. To sum it up, the plus is no one was killed, and the semi-plus is that people who lost their homes are most probably those who will be able to recover soon, especially since the governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has promised help to get them back on their feet. Good luck!
