Remember Pearl Harbor
by Natalia Holvova
Attack on Pearl Harbor is the day that changed American history and made from inactive continent a superpower able to fight for their people for the whole country, for freedom and piece. That was the point when U.S. took a real part in the World War II and thousands of Americans went to support the country in the army. It has been 66 years since Pearl Harbor victims closed their eyes forever and there is almost no one beside veterans to remember the day that started to create new history of America. Today's world is different. We live in relative piece and we do not have to make a revolutionary move to set us free. We are free because this step was made by our grandfathers. We can enjoy our lives because there was someone who made sure we are able to live freely. I can not even say how much we need to thank them as well as to all of soldiers fighting in the World War II. They are maybe old men now who need assistance with their daily activities, but this does not take any of honor they deserve from the time they were at the place they were needed to be. They are living heroes, the history that is still among us and what we can do for them is keeping their acts alive even after they are gone! We need to know the reason we do not have to be scared we do not have to fight! They did it for us! Glory and fame belong to them and it always will!
