Authorities charged on Thursday a 24-year- old shuttle driver at the Denver airport Najibullah Zazi of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destructions. The Afghan immigrant received explosives training from al-Qaida, which should be used to place bombs and explosives into trains, stadiums and hotels. He bought an unusual amount of nail-polish remover and large quantities of hydrogen peroxide to build bombs to attack the U.S soil, according to authorities. The facts were revealed on Thursday. Investigators found all the ingredients and instructions on computer hard drive and according to these, Zazi used a rented hotel room in of the hotels of Colorado for trying to cooking! the explosive- and this happened just a few weeks before his trip to New York. Investigators believe that they disrupted any threat arising from Zazi´s case, thru they haven’t found out where and when exactly the attacks should have taken places. He was arrested in Denver together with his father Mohammed Wali Zazi and a New York City imam Ahmad Wais Afzali. An unnamed official claimed, that authorities were so worried about Zazi and his trip to New York on September 10, which accidentally coincided with a visit of President Barack Obama, that they arrested him as soon as he reached the city. Zazi and also his layer denied being a terrorist. Zazi is a legal U.S. resident who immigrated in 1999. According to the prosecutors, he and the others traveled to Pakistan in August 2008 to receive explosives training. He returned in early 2009 and moved to Denver, where he continued the research in homemade bombs. Suring the summer, he and his associates bought the u! nusual amount of hydrogen peroxide and acetone- a flammable in! gredient found in nail- polish removers from beauty supply stores in the Denver area, and all these made the police suspicious.
