Clarence Thomas on 60 Minutes by Notme dfsfs

Clarence Thomas, the Supreme Court Justice, was guest for Steve Kroft in "60 Minutes" show on CBS, Sunday evening. The show coincided with the release of his autobiography, "My Grandfather's Son," that was released Monday. He was described as being the most influential black man in the country, court's single African American and the most conservative. He was also accused by many of his race of opposition to government programs intended to help minorities and he was called hypocrite and traitor to his own people."I'm black. So I'm supposed to think a certain way. I'm supposed to have certain opinions. I don't do that. You don't create a box and put people in and then make a lot of generalizations about them," Justice Thomas said.He spoke about his childhood, when he was left in his grandfather's care, which meant for him a great opportunity saying that his grandfather was the greatest man he ever met, and in his tribute he named his memoirs book "My Grandfather's Son."He spoke about Anita Hill that alleged him of sexually harassed her when she was an employee for him. Investigation turned that the accusations were unfunded and it called an inconclusive report, but Hill's statement was leaked to the media. "It was only after they had been leaked illegally, to the public and the press, that then it's outta hand. It's in the feeding frenzy," Thomas explains.
