The miracle - baby survived the tornado
by Zuzana Moravcova

In tornado-damaged Tennessee, 11-month old Baby Kyson Stowell was lying face down in the mud, over 100 yards from the place where his house once had been. "It looked like a baby doll. He was laying there motionless ... and he took a breath of air and started crying," said David Harmon, a firefighter who was shocked, when he checked for a pulse and the baby suddenly cried. Despite of very low probability of finding any survivors, Harmon with the team had earlier combed the field looking for survivors, but the first time, nobody had noticed the little baby, that later turned out to be alive.. Well, if they did, but as it was in a grassy pasture strewn with living room couches, strollers, and children's toys, they thought it was a doll. The body of Kyson's mother was found nearby in the field, among brick post office that was blown to smallest bits, houses wiped to concrete slabs and splintered lumber and bricks tossed by the tornado. "If you look, you can find an inspiration or a bright spot. The child will always be a reminder in this community of that message," said Reverend Doyle Farris, and added that the child was a reminder that people "should never give up, even in the midst of the worst storm." Except of scrapes and gashes on his cheek and by his eyes, the Baby Kyson is now fine. He was discharged from a hospital, from now in the care of his grandparents.
